Welcome to my personal recommendations page, where I'm excited to share with you the practitioners and healing modalities that have been instrumental on my own healing journey.

Yin Yoga 

Yin Yoga is a deeply restorative and meditative style of yoga that offers a wealth of benefits for both the body and mind. Targeting the connective tissues, rather than the muscles by holding poses for extended periods of time, (typically 3-5 minutes) Yin Yoga encourages a deep, passive stretch that allows the body to gradually release tension and increase flexibility. This slower, more introspective practice also helps to clear blockages and restore balance to the body's energetic system. On a physical level, regular Yin Yoga practice can improve joint mobility, relieve chronic pain and tension, and enhance overall bodily function. But the true power of Yin lies in its ability to calm the mind and nervous system. The long holds and deep breathing cultivated in Yin Yoga trigger the parasympathetic nervous system, inducing a state of rest and relaxation that counteracts the effects of stress. 

 

Attending Yin classes have become a non negotiable for me, it is time I carve out for myself to reconnect.

Remedial Massage

Remedial massage is a specialised form of massage therapy that is designed to address specific musculoskeletal issues and promote healing. Unlike a relaxing massage, remedial massage takes a more clinical and targeted approach to treating problem areas. Using a variety of advanced techniques, such as trigger point release, deep tissue work, and myofascial release, to identify and alleviate the underlying causes of pain, tension, and dysfunction in the body. It can help to reduce muscle spasms, improve joint mobility, increase blood flow and circulation, and accelerate the body's natural healing processes. 

 

Jordanna from Base Body by JC is a wonderful remedial massage therapist. She is very knowledgeable, professional and caring. Her passion for holding a safe space for her clients is felt the moment you enter the room. I regularly see Jordanna for a massage and always leaving feeling like a little marshmallow! Sound Healing

Sound is such a gentle but powerful tool! One of the most fascinating aspects of sound healing is its ability to transform the cells in our bodies. Our cells are constantly vibrating and communicating with each other through various frequencies. When we are exposed to certain types of sound, it can have a profound effect on our cells, causing them to vibrate at a higher frequency and release any stagnant or negative energy. This can lead to a state of deep relaxation and rejuvenation, promoting healing on a cellular level.

9D Breathwork

9D Breathwork is a powerful practice that goes beyond traditional approaches to provide stress relief and improve mental well-being. By combining advanced Breathwork techniques with a multisensory sound experience including binaural beats, isochronic brainwave tones, solfeggio frequencies, 432Hz harmonic tuning (just to name a few) it offers the ability to calm the mind, balance, release, and reset, ultimately reducing stress and improving inner peace.

 

I really didn’t think breathwork was for me after my previous experiences but I am so glad I met Steve from the Power of Breath and went into with an open mind and just allowed the process. I was blown away but what came up for me and the shifts that have happened since.
